SIM card ejection tools - those metal things that usually come with smartphones - often have the magic property of disappearing just when we need them.

Recently, my office colleague cum brother from another mother purchased his new iPhone XS and just as he wanted to put his 2nd SIM inside it he reliased one tiny thing is missing and without it he found the job to be quite hectic.

Paper Clip

Probably the next most common thing if you work in an office. Any one of these small plain paper clip will cause the SIM tray to eject. And, when you're done, you can use it to attach several pieces of paper together.

Staples

Well these can also be found easily in your work area. It is also a good choice when there are no clips around. Still, it is good to be sure that it is long and sturdy, so that it does not break during the process.

Needle

If you ever sewed your pants or shirts as I did (you don't want to know), then you will have a needle in your house somewhere. Simply use the end with the hole in the SIM eject drawer and press down. I advise you to be careful and do not use the pointed part, it can damage your device.

Pushpin

Another useful item that you may easily find in offices or schools are pushpins. Despite these are available in many sizes and shapes, yet almost all of them will do the job.

Toothpicks

In the latter case, you can also eject the SIM card drawer with a toothpick! But it was not by chance that I kept this option as last on the list, instead there was a purpose.

A toothpick may also do the job well enough however if you put too much pressure or if the toothpick is weak then it might break. That's why it seems to me to be the most fragile method. However, if there is an outmost urgency and there is no other option available to you at that point of time only then you should use this option but while doing so, make sure that you are extra careful and that you do not exert too much force, because if you break, you can have the hole "blocked".
