Tips To Take Care Of Your Dog In Lockdown
Do you have pets at home? I believe you do or maybe you want to have it someday and you just want to be aware of any pet caring tips that may come in handy in future.

Well in the both cases you are most welcome to go through with this guide as this is really going to help you in keeping your pet happy and healthy, the same it did for my little red riding hood above.

Pets that were accustomed to walking outdoors with their owners, may develop stress levels due to the lockdown which keeps on getting extended - for the safety of the everyone of course.

Being locked at home can make you lose your mind, but at least you have ways to keep yourself entertained that does not involve going for a walk, your dog however does not have that option, so you must be sure that you are doing the things right and you're not making him suffer for no reason.

Though you cannot walk your pet too often as before. However, there are many games that you can do at home to entertain your little friend.

Smell Games
Smell games are essential for your dog's mental balance and will promote a strong bond between you and your dog.

This type of play also helps to increase your canine's self-control power, helps in managing frustration, develops self-confidence and self-esteem.

How to play this Smell Game?

Very easy and you'll have a lot of fun too!

For this, you just need to create a workaround maze inside the house, i.e. by placing some obstacles such as chairs, tables, boxes, pillows and toys.

Now after your setup is ready, strategically hide delicious snacks for your dog in between those obstacles and ask him to look for them.

At first, he may not fully understand what to do. If so, then ask him to follow you and then show him where the prizes are. He will try to grab it by utilizing his brain in bypassing the obstacles.

Play Hide & Seek
This is one of the hilarious activity. I remember when I used to hide while my Jeannie (golden pomeranian shown in the pic) used to search, that feeling used to be sweet and funny for me, while playful and entertaining for her.

While playing hide-and-seek, make your pet jump over obstacles (which obviously don't hurt him) with the help of a leash, and give him prizes or toys when they catch you.
This will free themselves from the stress and boredness if any.

Teach Him Some Commands/Tricks
What other best time could you get? I mean now is the time when you can actually interact with your dog a little extra. And the best way to utilize it by teaching your dogs some new tricks and commands. Not only will this be very useful and productive in the future, this will also keep them entertained and playful.

So make sure you have enough interaction with your best friend while teaching him some obedience games and tricks at the same time, this will keep them distracted, busy, and happy.

Fetch The Ball
The list would be incomplete without this right? It is one of the most popular and basic game which owners play with their furry friends.

All you need is an object, could be a stick, a toy or obviously a ball. Throw it at a moderate distance away from pet and ask him to fetch it for you. Surely you will need to teach him first if you haven't already, but let me tell you it is one of the easiest trick that your dog can learn very quickly.

Every time he grabs the thrown object, give him a treat, and when he starts giving back the toy/ball to you then give him another treat. This will teach him that upon fetching and returning the item he will be given a prize making him learn the fetch command easily.

Last but not the least...
Have the Veterinarian's Phone No. Handy
It is very important that pet owners always have the telephone number of their trusted veterinary doctor available, since if any situation is detected, they must first be consulted and thus know if it is necessary to go to the clinic before leaving home.

If you too got some tips be sure to share it with other pet lovers in the comments section below.
