iOS 14 Brings New Innovation And A Much Needed Change!
Apple releases a major iOS software update every once a year and with it brings a lot of exciting new features that not only looks and feels amazing but also helps increase productivity in our everyday life.
While the official iOS 14 update release date has not been shared yet but judging by the release dates of previous iOS versions, we can expect it to be released by the fall of this year.
All the iOS 14 compatible devices will receive important function updates, security bug fixes, and as well as new interface settings.
iOS 14 was announced at WWDC 2020 on June 22 where Craig Federighi and his colleagues announced a number of new features that will change your iOS user interface experience to a much extent, in a good way of course.
The newer iOS 14 will change the look of your usual iPhone's screen at much extent. Support for full-fledged custom widgets will now appear on the main screen and you'll have an option to place them directly between the application icons on the iPhone home screen.
Widgets will be updated in real-time, providing you with information depending on the application.
What's more, is that you will also be able to resize the widget from small to almost covering the entire screen as per your requirement.
Also, the new Smart Stack function is a cherry on the cake. It is a set of widgets in one panel that can be scrolled through with a swipe and display relevant information throughout the day.
You will also be able to create your own Smart Stacks settings, by just arranging the necessary widgets one above the other.
At the end of the home screens (i.e. towards very right of your multiple screens) you'll find the Application Library, in which applications will automatically be categorized such as social networks, performance, entertainment, and so on. It is a new and effective way to organize your applications.
So now instead of having to scroll through multiple pages, you will be able to access a single field that automatically organizes your applications into smart categories.
In addition, the applications that you'll use most often will appear larger in size, making it easier for you to launch them with one touch.
Call Notification & Siri
When you receive a call, the call notification covers the entire screen. But with the newer update, this will not be the case.
With the new iOS you'll receive a smaller pop-up call notification which will look much better.
Also your newer and upgraded assistant will not occupy the entire screen, instead will appear as a small pulsating sphere at the bottom of the display, and the results of many queries will appear in a small widget or notification windows on top of other applications.
You'll also experience more processed answers from the Internet without going to search results.
The Messages application will also receive numerous updates under iOS 14, for e.g., the possibility of pinning your discussions, placing your favorite contacts at the top of your messaging app. Groups also benefit from a few small bonuses.
Yes! Memojis will also be updated, adding 20 new styles for hair and hats, including face masks, as well as additional age options and poses.
The Translator App
The new standard application Translator is designed to break the language barriers between people.
It supports simultaneous translation, voice input, and provides help from the built-in dictionary.
For greater confidentiality, you can also choose offline translation by downloading the necessary languages and disabling the translation process on Apple servers.
This is really a cool feature that allows you to try an app and its features without having to download the full version from the AppStore.
Clip is deleted after 30 days of non-use.
iOS 14 introduces you to Car Keys option which allows you to turn your iPhone into full-fledged car keys.
To use the function, you must first add the car to the Wallet application. After tuning, you will be able to start the engine, open doors, and can even control some more functions of the car through your iPhone.
However, at the time of launch, it will only be supported in the latest BMW i5 model, but it will probably be extended to other car models in the future.
These were just a few of the features that we discussed today but there'll be even more including some great enhancement and amazing features in the Camera app, Maps, etc. Don't worry you would have these features very soon.
However, if you can not wait longer then the beta version is also available, although I would like to inform you that the reason it is said beta version is that it could contain some bugs and some laginess.
But if still, you wish to experience the beta version you can signup from Apple's official page by clicking the below button
Just be sure to keep a full backup of your iPhone using iTunes.
