A loving parent should definitely check these without delay.
App markets for your smart devices aren't only filled with shooting games. There are also great apps that can help your child learn a lot. These apps are designed in such a way that not only do children find them entertaining but while using these they do learn a thing or two. Even scientists have proven that the learning process presented in the form of a game is a much better way for anyone to learn and enhance his/her knowledge.
Keeping this in mind let's quickly go through with these apps. I've only selected the apps that are one of the best, free, and available on both Android and iOS devices.
Good command of English is very important nowadays. But it's often boring for children to study a language. Hence, the Duolingo application comes to our aid.
The free application is very good for learning not only english but many more languages too. Its gamification system applies the mechanisms of a video game to language learning.
On giving the correct answers to the questions your child will get points that can be used to buy items and power-ups. Each lesson in Duolingo consists of a series of activities that keep the user engaged.
2. Class Dojo
A great app for teachers, parents, and students. It prevents the cause of wrongdoing by focusing on achievement.
Teachers can use this app to develop positive behavior in students through the use of feedback and control during the lesson, while parents can check their child's progress in school. Also, students can log in to their student profile where they have their own profile avatar and can earn a certain number of points as per their activities.
It's a kind of a classroom journal but with advanced features. Reports are beautifully represented in diagrams and everything is synchronized on your devices!
3. NSF Science Zone
An app that is created by National Science Foundation, is also available for Android and iOS devices and shares free high-quality science and engineering news and information. All the information is organized very well for easy to navigate through and easy to use.
The content is authentic and is updated regularly. It is easy to spend hours exploring the content so be aware of this (lol).
4. Flow Free
An appealing colorful app that is liked by many young children. The puzzle gameplay is fun and is targeted to help develop spatial awareness, geometric skills, and as well as problem-solving skills among children.
The whole gameplay is not that complicated but rather interesting for children with many levels available for free.
5. YouTube Kids
The video giant's app dedicated to children is one of the indispensable resources for parents who want to offer educational and as well as safe entertainment movies and shows to their children.
The potential of YouTube Kids is truly remarkable. Once your child has watched some videos, the app will start suggesting suitable and related videos on the home screen.
However, YouTube Kids does warn the parents that all videos are not manually reviewed and therefore there is a possibility that the child may encounter inappropriate content. Hence parents' collaboration is to required to help maintain a safe environment. So when you notice a video that does not appear to be suitable, you can report the same by going towards the three dots that appear next to the video title.
So this was just a short review of some of the coolest apps that are best suited for kids. If you like me to share more apps, do let me know in the comments below and I would love to do that.
